Winter in Dartmoor provides its own special challenges, but the mix of snow and mist is a photographer's dream - and the location, with the small church perched on this small steep-sided hill is majestic.
However putting the two together, in a visually pleasing composition took a bit of work... This shot, the sun just breaking out over a low layer of cloud should not have worked - the contrast should have killed it, however the mist held back the light a little and gave some fantastic mood.
