There was plenty of snow and ice on the ground as you can see, but the wind! It was an icy, northerly gale, practically blowing me off my feet! I was able to throw on some thermals and a wind proof outer layer to keep myself warm - this pony was using the rocks to shelter from the wind, and was staying put... captive subject for a photo!
