Storms like this are a regular feature during Autumn and Winter - but had to keep reminding myself it is still August! The 40 to 50mph winds were driving huge waves into the cliffs below Pendeen lighthouse.
Fortunately for me I found a good position just sheltered from the wind to watch and photograph, because in the wind it was just horrible - difficult to stand, and a constant horizontal rain from the sea spray.
