St Ives

Ref: S2-2398
This is the little lighthouse at the end of Smeaton's pier at St Ives during a fantastic moon rise.
I was shooting the dusk over St Ives from the station end of town, when I noticed the moon was just rising across the bay. Grabbed the camera and ran through the busy town so I could get to this spot by the harbour so I could line the moon up with the lighthouse. There were lots of people out enjoying the summer evening, and I had pick my way through on occasion. As I reached my viewpoint, and slung the tripod and changed lens (this was taken on the 70-200mm) - "What are you looking at?"
Me: "The moon!"
"Oh WOW!"
Glad to be of service
