Crackington Haven

Ref: S4-7504
I arrived at Crackington Haven under disparagingly grey skies, but decided to explore the rock pools none the less (found one rock pool with 6 crabs in), and I rather liked the way
the wavers were breaking over these rocks. The contrast between the smooth swirling water (softened by the low light and longish exposure) contrasted so well sharp jagged rocks.
The fractured shale rocks here, in this jagged, zig-zag pattern, so characteristic of the north Cornish and Devon coastline is actually called ' Crackington formation' after this very beach.
