Rame Head

Rame Head - Cornwall - South Coast
Ref: S5-6950

The wonderful old 12th Century chapel at Rame Head.

The forecast of clear skies proved a little inaccurate unfortunately, and the clouds started rolling in almost as soon as the sun set. Did not get to see the Milky Way thanks to the cloud cover, which also reflected a lot of light pollution from Plymouth back down - but I did have this little a little window of clarity out to the west, so setup right up close to the chapel, and waited for the clouds to roll in as I wanted to capture the colour and atmosphere they provided. Orion is peaking out, with the 'belt and sword' clearly visible above the chapel roof, with the orange glow of Betelgeuse above. But the view is dominated by the bright glow of Venus.
